What qualifications does Acacia have?

Acacia learned about LGBTQ+ history and theory at Vassar College while taking Intro to Women Studies, Intro to Queer Studies, Gender In American Popular Media, and How Queer Is That?

Acacia studied LGBTQ+ rights in a multicultural context through the International Honors Program: Human Rights.

Acacia has worked on LGBTQ+ films including As You Are (Winner: Outfest – GRAND JURY PRIZE U.S. NARRATIVE SHORT SPECIAL MENTION, Newfest Film Festival  – NEWFEST + NYWIFT EMERGING FILMMAKER AWARD, Frameline47 Film Festival – COLIN HIGGINS YOUTH GRANT RECIPIENT), Friends of Sophia, As The Winter Turns To Fall (Winner: Independent Short Awards Best LGBTQ Short), My Queer Questions, and more.
